Miroslav Satan Jr. will have a new home in the OHL next season.

The Saginaw Spirit secured the rights to the Washington Capitals prospect through league entry waivers on Thursday. Satan, the son of former NHL winger Miroslav Satan, was selected by the Capitals in the seventh round of the 2024 NHL Draft.

Satan, 19, played his first season in North America this past year with the USHL’s Sioux Falls Stampede and Omaha Lancers. In 45 games, the 6-foot-7-inch centerman recorded four points (3g, 1a). He also lined up for Slovakia at the 2025 World Juniors, getting into three games.

The Spirit announced their training camp schedule and roster on Friday, and Satan was among the 49 players listed to attend. The camp is set to get underway on Monday, with the club’s first preseason game scheduled for August 29 against the Oshawa Generals.

Saginaw, powered by San Jose Sharks prospect Michael Misa and Calgary Flames prospect Zayne Parekh, finished fourth in the OHL’s Western Conference this past season. They were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Erie Otters.
