Retired Washington Capitals forward TJ Oshie threw out the ceremonial first pitch at Monday night’s Minnesota Twins game.

Taking to Target Field pregame, Oshie took the pitcher’s mound wearing a white no. 77 Twins jersey.

“We’re excited to welcome Warroad High School alum, University of North Dakota standout and 2018 Stanley Cup Champion – @TJOshie77, to Target Field!!!” the Twins wrote on social media.

Oshie was joined on the side of the mound by three of his children, Lyla, Leni, and Campbell.

Oshie, along with family and friends, got to see a thrilling Twins victory. Minnesota beat the Boston Red Sox 5-4 after a walk-off bases-loaded single by Brooks Lee drove in two runs in the bottom of the ninth.

Oshie’s appearance at the ballpark came a day after injured WWE superstar and 2012 Olympian Chad Gable attended a game. Gable made headlines by kinda sorta admitting the obvious: that he was indeed the masked luchador El Grande Americano.

Oshie’s back in Minnesota after officially announcing his retirement in June and moving his family in July.

“Leaving DC after 10 years was one of the hardest decisions we’ve made,” Lauren, Oshie’s wife, wrote on social media. “This city has been home through so many beautiful chapters — marriages, babies, friendships, and memories we’ll carry with us forever…And you know what they say… ‘don’t worry — even if you leave DC, you’ll always be a Washingtonian.’”
