Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom got to meet their dual bobblehead, both smol and lorge, hours before the Washington Capitals are set to take on the Detroit Red Wings.
The Capitals’ all-time leader in goals and the Capitals’ all-time leader in assists cheesed for photos with their life-size bobble bros.
The two players even swayed their heads back and forth giggling.
The Capitals are hosting their fourth 50th Anniversary Era night and are celebrating the ‘Rock The Red’ period from 2005 through 2014. All fans in attendance are receiving bobbles of the greatest duo in team history and one of the best in modern NHL history.
The design features Ovechkin in his rookie year jersey, the team’s black Capitol Dome sweater, where he scored his first NHL goal, while Backstrom rocks the Capitals’ red wordmark design that debuted during his first NHL season in 2007-08.

Backstrom is at the game along with former ‘Rock The Red’ era Capitals Mike Green and Karl Alzner.
Fans can take pictures with the life-size Ovechkin and Backstrom bobbleheads outside section 105.
