The Baltimore Orioles are embracing their Skipjacks past by holding a hockey jersey giveaway night.
The Orioles revealed the news on Wednesday as the team released its promotion calendar for the MLB’s 2025 season.
The first 15,000 fans who attend the April 18 game against the Cincinnati Reds (tickets here) will receive the Orioles-branded hockey jersey featuring the team’s Angry Bird logo as the crest. If you look closely, the Oriole bird is holding a hockey stick instead of a baseball bat (brilliant!) and wearing ice skates.

The sweater is black and features orange and white stripes. The O’s script logo and the Ledo Pizza wordmark are featured on the shoulders.
In the past, the Orioles have embraced hockey by having Capitals’ stars Alex Ovechkin and Brooks Laich throw out ceremonial pitch pitches before games. Laich was famously named after Orioles’ Hall of Fame third baseman Brooks Robinson.
Other highlights of the Baltimore’s promotion calendar this season include a David Rubenstein bobbleheads (Apr. 19 vs. Cincinnati), a bowling shirt (May 30 vs. Chicago White Sox), Grayson Rodriguez bobbleheads (May 31 vs. Chicago White Sox), Orioles pride jerseys (June 25 vs. Texas), City Connect soccer jerseys (June 27 vs. Tampa Bay), replica Jim Palmer jerseys (Aug. 23 vs. Houston), and an Orioles knit beanie (Sept. 23 vs. Tampa Bay).
The Orioles, one of the best young teams in baseball, won the AL East last season but were swept out of the postseason by the Kansas City Royals.
