The Washington Capitals will be without forward Andrew Mangiapane against the Dallas Stars on Monday night.

Washington announced pregame that Mangiapane would not dress due to an illness.

Mangiapane has 10 points (6g, 4a) in 29 games this season. This is the first game he has missed for the Capitals.

Hendrix Lapierre will be a late addition to the team’s lineup in place of Mangiapane. Lapierre was initially planned to be a healthy scratch for the game as Jakub Vrana returns to action after missing 10 straight as a healthy scratch.

Lapierre and Vrana will flank Lars Eller on the Capitals’ third line.

RMNB is not associated with the Washington Capitals; Monumental Sports, the NHLPA, the NHL, or its properties. Not even a little bit.
