Logan Thompson is honoring the iconic movie National Treasure with his new Washington Capitals mask, and friends, the design is not in invisible ink and you don’t need Benjamin Franklin x-ray specs to see it.

Painted by Dave Fried of Friedesigns, the bucket features imagery of Nicolas Cage on both sides of the mask along with the Eye of Providence.

“Clean, classic design with a nod to the movie National Treasure,” Fried wrote on Instagram.

Thompson, who is undefeated in six starts this season, debuted the mask at the Capitals’ morning skate on Friday ahead of their game against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

180 years of searching, and we’re three feet away… figuratively speaking.

Coming in red, white, and blue colors, the mask includes the Washington Capitals wordmark on the sides and the Weagle logo on the top. The backplate features Thompson’s dogs frolicking in front of the Washington Monument as well as his initials in a Declaration of Independence font.

Nice touches in another creative mask design by Fried.
