Former Washington Capitals forward Andre Burakovsky sported a new look at Seattle Kraken practice, Monday morning.
The 2018 and 2022 Stanley Cup champion showed up to Kraken Community Iceplex with new neck and face tattoos as if he were hockey’s version of Post Malone.

But, according to some dogged reporting by Seattle Kraken media, Burakovsky’s new tattoos are not permanent. He dressed up as an inmate for the team’s Halloween party on Sunday, and the 2013 first-round pick just had some sincere struggles removing the tattoos afterward.
“They were a little sticky,” Burakovsky said in a media scrum, per Sound of Hockey.
André Burakovsky couldn’t get the remnants of his Halloween costume off from yesterday’s team festivities— hence the tattoos.
Apparently, Jaden Schwartz went as Harry Potter and Brandon Tanev as Professor Snape (“they have the same haircut”) #Seakraken pic.twitter.com/jJIlGlnEPe

The veteran of 623 NHL games (where has time gone?) added that his favorite Halloween costumes were from Jaden Schwartz, who dressed up as Harry Potter, and Brandon Tanev who was Professor Snape.
“They have the same haircut,” Burakovsky observed per Davy Jones Locker Room.
The only costumes shared publicly were from the McCanns and Stephensons who were both Jack Skellington and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Sound of Hockey adds much of the team went as the Flint Tropics from Semi-Pro.
Burakovsky has had real ink done in the past. After the Capitals won their first championship, the winger had the date the team lifted the Cup and other significant milestones put onto his left arm. He was joined at Tattoo Paradise DC by Jakub Vrana, Braden Holtby, TJ Oshie, Brett Connolly, and Devante Smith-Pelly.

Let’s all hope Burakovsky can fully remove the remnants before Seattle’s Tuesday game against the Colorado Avalanche.
When your halloween costume isn’t coming off, but you still need to talk with media after practice…classic Burky 😅 pic.twitter.com/gIXbmoX9qh
