The Hershey Bears and Coachella Valley Firebirds are back level in the Calder Cup Finals for the second time in their championship series. The winner of Saturday night’s Game 5 will have the opportunity to lift the Calder Cup inside Giant Center on Monday if they can win two in a row.
Hershey eked out a 3-2 victory over the Firebirds on the road in Game 4. The win, featuring goals from all three members of the Bears’ first line, was the first from an opposing team at Acrisure Arena this postseason.
Joe Snively scored the game-winning goal 4:21 into the third period and Hunter Shepard held down the fort from there. The Bears limited the Firebirds to just 13 shots through two periods in the victory.
Head coach Todd Nelson is going with the same lineup he did in Thursday night’s winning effort.
Vincent Iorio, Lucas Johansen, Aaron Ness, and Garrett Roe all remain out due to injuries. Nicky Leivermann will get another game on the team’s top pairing next to Dylan McIlrath.
Tonight’s game is available to watch on Monumental Sports Network and NHL Network. You can also live stream the game on Monumental’s website and via AHL TV’s streaming service.
