The Hershey Bears badly need a win out in California to even up their 2024 Calder Cup Finals matchup with the Coachella Valley Firebirds at two wins apiece.
After the Bears fell 6-2 in Game 3, Coachella Valley remains undefeated inside Acrisure Arena during this year’s playoffs.
The Bears were whistled early for a rarely-called starting lineup penalty 30 seconds into the game and fell behind 2-0 early in Tuesday night’s matchup before tying things up 1:29 into the second period through an Alex Limoges goal. The Firebirds responded with four straight tallies to take back full control of the game and earn themselves a 2-1 championship series lead.
Hershey will still be without defensemen Vincent Iorio, Lucas Johansen, and Aaron Ness. Garrett Roe will also miss a third consecutive game.
Nicky Leivermann will make his AHL playoff debut in a huge spot next to Dylan McIlrath on the team’s top pairing. The forward lines remain the same.
Tonight’s game is available to watch on Monumental Sports Network. You can also live stream the game on Monumental’s website and via AHL TV’s streaming service.
