The Hershey Bears headed west with some help from Air Tom Brady this past weekend for three games on the road in the 2024 Calder Cup Finals. The Coachella Valley Firebirds will play host at their Acrisure Arena fortress where they are undefeated in this year’s playoffs.

The Bears evened the series 1-1 with an uneven 5-2 win in Game 2 that was much closer than the final scoreline portrays. Hershey got a big performance from goaltender Hunter Shepard who made 32 saves and two goals from defenseman Hardy Häman Aktell to seal the victory.

Hershey will still be without defensemen Vincent Iorio, Lucas Johansen, and Aaron Ness in Game 3. Garrett Roe will also miss a second consecutive game despite making the trip to California.
