The Hershey Bears need a win over the Coachella Valley Firebirds on Sunday evening to avoid a 2-0 series hole in the 2024 Calder Cup Finals. Hershey remains at home for Game 2 after falling 4-3 to the Firebirds at Giant Center in Game 1.
The Bears made it a close one late with Hendrix Lapierre scoring a pulled goalie, power-play goal but Coachella Valley survived the remaining 1:56 in regulation.
Hershey will again be without Vincent Iorio, Lucas Johansen, and Aaron Ness on the backend. Garrett Roe has been added to the injury list after leaving Game 1 early.
Matt Strome is back in the lineup, replacing the injured Roe. Dmitry Osipov will get his second game on defense.
All fans in attendance at Giant Center will receive free “Repeat The Roar” countdown rally towels.
