As Alex Ovechkin continues to inch closer to Wayne Gretzky’s all-time goals record of 894, FOCO is taking time, in conjunction with the Washington Capitals, to celebrate all of Ovi’s past milestone goals in bobblehead form.
At 11 am, FOCO released the Alex Ovechkin Washington Capitals GR8 Chase Bobblehead collection.
The series features eight 10 inch bobbleheads commemorating Ovechkin’s milestone goals from career goal 100 through 800. Today’s launch features Goal 100. However, 24 sets of the full collection are available alongside the first individual one and come at a discounted price.
Ovechkin scored his 100th goal on October 12, 2007 — a little over two calendar years after making his NHL debut. Ovechkin scored on Henrik Lundqvist — the only goal the Capitals scored in a 3-1 loss to the Rangers at Madison Square Garden.
The other seven bobbleheads from the series will release once a week after the initial launch. Each bobblehead in the series will be limited to 308 units. FOCO tells us every bobble in the collection will ship no later than April 30 including the full set. Goal 100 will be shipping individually before the end of the month
This collection is not just officially licensed by the NHL and NHLPA but also made in partnership with the Washington Capitals. In addition to being available to purchase through FOCO.com the collection will also be available in the Capitals team store.
