The NHL is giving some Washington Capitals’ season ticket holders the joy of having to take PTO to make puck drop, Tuesday.
The league is debuting what it’s calling the Frozen Frenzy in conjunction with ESPN. All 32 teams in the NHL are playing tonight. And all 16 games have staggered start times spanning from 6 pm through 11 pm.
For Capitals fans: Here’s what you need to know. The team has a special start time against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Puck drop is at 6 pm. The game is being nationally televised on ESPN and can be streamed on ESPN+. Share this with your Caps-loving friends so they’re prepared.
The game will not be on Monumental Sports Network and there will be no Joe B or Locker tonight. If you turn on the game at 7 pm, you will have missed all of the first period and the start of the second.
The Capitals-Leafs game is part of a tripleheader on ESPN that also includes the Boston Bruins vs. the Chicago Blackhawks at 8:30 pm, and the Vegas Golden Knights vs. the Philadelphia Flyers at 11 pm.
