Alex Ovechkin gives priceless assist to Leah Hextall to help her get back in-between the benches

We know Alex Ovechkin loves to goals and celebration, but sometimes he can provide a clutch assist every now and then, too.

After ESPN’s Leah Hextall interviewed Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery during a break in play, Ovechkin helped the analyst get back to her perch between the benches by literally lifting her up and sitting her on the boards.

Hextall then scooted and rotated her body around to get back to her spot.

This type of assertiveness may explain why Ovechkin had seven shots on goal in the first period. Per ESPN, it was the most shots in one period by a single player this season.

Never change, Ovi.
