The city of Seattle may be located thousands of miles away from Washington DC, but their new hockey team, the Kraken, is getting love here anyway.
On Wednesday, Gracie McKenzie posted a photo featuring Seattle Kraken gear being sold at an Arlington Target. The navy blue shirts and the seafoam green Kraken logo stand out in a sea of red DC sports merchandise.
The Kraken retweeted the photo on Twitter and responded, “they know weβre the better washington ππ.” Uhhhh, I dunno about that, guys.

Over the last 48 hours, the tweet has gotten nearly 100 responses and over 5,000 favorites.
Zach Leonsis responded, “Noted,” while the Kraken responded, “how can you argue with views like these.”

Regardless, we like you, Seattle, even if you’re a little sassy on the Twitter, and your new logos are awesome.
PS – There’s a lot of Kraken gear available online now, including merch that features the team’s secondary Space Needle/anchor logo.
