Tim Hortons selling Alex Ovechkin mini sticks for a limited time

The Washington Capitals may not have won a Stanley Cup, but it’s still another Summer of Ovi.

Days after it was announced that Alex Ovechkin will be EA Sports’ cover athlete for NHL 21, the NHL announced a new Tim Hortons promotion involving Ovechkin.

The popular Canadian restaurant chain is offering collectible hockey sticks of Ovechkin, Sidney Crosby, Nathan MacKinnon, Mitch Marner, Connor McDavid, and Carey Price. The mini sticks are placed in a plastic display case that resembles a locker.

Here’s a closer look at Ovechkin’s mini stick and locker.

The mini sticks are available for $5.99 each but it appears they’re not available in the United States. Many hockey fans, however, are selling Ovechkin mini sticks on eBay.

The promotion also includes 500 randomly inserted gold sticks that can be redeemed for special prizes.

The grand prize is one of 25 game-used Sidney Crosby hockey sticks.

The Tim Hortons mini sticks first became available on August 19 and will be available while supplies last.

RMNB is not associated with the Washington Capitals; Monumental Sports, the NHLPA, the NHL, or its properties. Not even a little bit.
