NHL announces starting time for Game 5 of the Capitals-Islanders first-round series

Game Five of the Washington Capitals’ first-round series against the New York Islanders will be played at 8 PM on Thursday. The game will be aired locally on NBC Sports Washington.

The Capitals avoided a sweep in Game Four, winning 3-2. They are looking to become the fifth team in NHL history to come back from a 3-0 series deficit.

NHL Announces Start Time & Broadcast Information for Game 5

ARLINGTON, Va. – The National Hockey League today announced that the start time for Game 5 of the First Round Series between the New York Islanders and the Washington Capitals has been set for 8 p.m. ET on Thursday, August 20. The game will be televised on NBC Sports Washington locally and streamed live on the MyTeams app and NBCSportsWashington.com. Broadcast information for Games 6 and 7, if necessary, will be announced at a later date.

All Capitals playoff games will broadcast on 106.7 The Fan (when not conflicting with Washington Nationals baseball) and on 94.7 FM The Drive, and on the 24-hour radio channel, Caps Radio 24/7, devoted specifically to the Capitals.
