The Washington Capitals will hold an intrqsquad scrimmage at MedStar Capitals Iceplex at 4 PM, Friday. The scrimmage will be the Capitals final tuneup before leaving for the bubble in Toronto on Sunday.

Team Blue is heavily stacked with the team’s best players and members from the top nine while Team Red is filled with prospects, grinders, and players lower on the depth chart.

The game will begin with one 20-minute period followed by an intermission and two 10-minute periods. According to the Capitals, if the score is tied after 40 minutes, the game will move to a five-minute, three-on-three sudden death overtime. If a victor isn’t determined there, they’ll go to the shootout

Today’s game will be aired live on the Capitals’ Twitter and Facebook platforms. Capitals radio voice John Walton will broadcast the action alongside Capitals senior writer Mike Vogel.
