The Washington Capitals returned to the ice approximately three weeks ago. They’ve done drills and worked on their skating. They’ve lifted weights.
But now, they’re getting to the important things. Like how to properly celebrate a goal during a global pandemic.

The Capitals posted a short seven-second video of Evgeny Kuznetsov, Dmitry Orlov, and Garnet Hathaway showing off their new goal hug. Everyone is six feet apart. They celebrate by pumping up their arms up and down.
If this is going to keep the players safe, I wholeheartedly approve.
The #Caps’ Phase 2 skate continues to grow. This week, Orlov, Dillon and Copley joined the group, which already featured Ovechkin, Carlson, Holtby, Kuznetsov, Eller and Hathaway. #ALLCAPS
