Alex Ovechkin is one of the NHL’s greatest players ever. Already eighth all-time in goals (706) at age 34, Ovechkin is a Stanley Cup champion, four-time MVP, and eight-time Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy winner as the league’s top goalscorer. He’s basically done it all.
So you could understand if Ovechkin would be taking it easy during the coronavirus pandemic.
Except he’s not.
Thursday, Nastya Ovechkina took video of her hubby working out by the pool at their Miami beach home. Ovechkin is shown doing lunges and jumps that are so athletic it’s hard to fathom it’s possible. For a guy who takes daily Glucosamine and Chondroitin pills due to knee joint pain, I’m amazed and if I tried this I would probably fall into the pool or off the cliff into the ocean.

On Wednesday, Ovechkin also participated in a Nike sponsored social-media challenge called the Living Room Cup. Ovi did 91 lateral burnouts in 45 seconds.
You guys, this is a rare breed of man who has never skipped legs day.
I’m going to imagine this is Sergei cheering him on.
