“The memories with that guy will be forever,” Tom Wilson said in July 2019 after Andre Burakovsky was traded to the Colorado Avalanche. “I was saying to my girlfriend, ‘Who am I going to go to dinner with on the road?’… Burky was a best buddy.”
Fast forward nearly a year later and it appears Burakovsky has finally moved on.
With a Roomba.

Burakovsky showed off his new best bestie in an Instagram Story video. He likely needed the Roomba either because he is still in the process of acquiring the life skills necessary to operate a broom and dustpan or plays so much golf he can’t clean after himself.
But Burra – really? Your best friend?
Can you flick a Roomba’s ears during an interview? Can you wrestle a Roomba for hours? Will a Roomba hold your hand when you’re scared? Or enjoy a Daquari shirtless at the beach?
The answer is no to all of those, except maybe the wrestling one if you lay down on the floor and let it roll over you. But then the wheels will probably get caught in your shirt and destroy it so that’s probably a bad idea.
Anyways, this is absolutely tragic news. My day is ruined.
Life comes at you fast.
