Outside of Washington, Tom Wilson is one of the most despised players in hockey. From his big (and sometimes questionable) hits to his violent fights, Wilson has turned some opposing fans into enemies wherever he goes, especially in Pittsburgh. Simply put, hockey fans love to hate him.
Wilson, who is active on social media, gets chirped a lot in his Twitter mentions. But he takes it just like he does out on the ice: in stride and with humor.
For instance, last week, a Penguins fan tweeted that he’d wear Tom Wilson’s jersey all day to have hockey come back. The caveat being that he fudging hates Tom.
