The Washington Capitals dropped the second half of their home and away “series” against the Winnipeg Jets by a score of 3-0. It’s only the second time the Caps have been shutout this season.
The Caps out-shot the Jets 34 to 32 and out-attempted them at five-on-five 52 to 48.
Ilya Samsonov stopped 29 of 31 shots (.935 save percentage), his highest single-game save percentage in his last seven starts, which spans back to Jan. 18.
