In which Brad Marchand gets his helmet cross-checked off his head

During Sunday’s Bruins-Rangers game, pest-supreme Brad Marchand got a dose of his own medicine after he cross-checked Rangers defenseman Ryan Lindgren from behind.

Pavel Buchnevich came to the rescue and returned fire, sending Marchand’s helmet flying off his head.

You hate to see it.

NBC announcer Mike Tirico called it “a dramatic drop” by Marchand.

Incredibly, Marchand was the only player who was sent to the box during the melee earning a two-minute minor for cross-checking.

The Bruins forward, who has 74 points in 60 games, has continued his sandpapery ways this season, which includes diving and punching players who aren’t ready to fight yet.

At least we’ll always have this shootout “attempt.”
