Capitals legend and NBC Sports Washington commentator, Craig Laughlin, will be hosting a watch party for the Caps-Penguins game Sunday in Alexandria and for good reason.
Local brewer Aslin Beer Company has created a limited-edition beer inspired by the former Capital named Locker 18 Double IPA.
“I’m so excited about this collaboration as I always wanted a beer named after me,” Craig said.

Laughlin will be at the location at 11 AM (847 S Pickett St, Alexandria, VA, 22304) and will be sticking around for the Caps’ rivalry game at 12:30 PM.

All proceeds of Locker 18 go to The Laughlin Family Foundation. Craig’s wife Linda was diagnosed with uterine serous carcinoma, a rare and aggressive form of uterine cancer in April 2018.
“We had a lot of gloom and doom to start because it was sort of a shock to our system,” Craig said to NHL.com. “But then we looked at ourselves and said, ‘Hey, we’re going to beat this. We’re going to do whatever we can.'”
Part of that fight has been to start The Laughlin Family Foundation, which will be hosting its first-ever event on Wednesday at the Blue Dolphin Seafood Bar & Grill in Crofton, Maryland.
One week left to join the party! Come support our first ever foundation fundraiser @FightRareCancer and help us drop the gloves on rare cancers! Limited tickets still available: https://t.co/9NGcr4Lprp #EveryCancerDeservesAVoice pic.twitter.com/V0Ui8NZP2j

Fans can meet Capitals sniper Jakub Vrana, who Craig has affectionately nicknamed Jake The Snake, as well as Capitals coach Todd Reirden, Orioles Hall of Famer Brooks Robinson, Hockey Hall of Famer Rod Langway, 500-goal scorer Peter Bondra, gold medal Olympian Haley Skarupa, Bullets great Phil Chenier, Caps play-by-play announcer Joe Beninati, voice of the Caps John Walton, fighty former player Alan May, and some guy who promises to bother Alan May all night named Ian Oland. The party will feature live and silent auctions, entertainment, music, food, an open bar, and an opportunity to taste Laughlin 18. Only a handful of tickets are still available so hurry and get your tickets now.
Laughlin got a chance to sample the beer on Tuesday morning and gave it a taste even though it was before noon.
“Oh my god! What an amazing beer,” Craig said. “It’s 5 o’clock somewhere isn’t it?”
