Anthony Beauvillier sent out a Christmas prayer and, you guys, it has been answered.
The Islanders forward, who has 10 goals this season, tweeted a message to movie star Anna Kendrick. After receiving ridiculous support from Islanders fans, Kendrick responded.
On Wednesday, the 22-year-old Beauvillier took to Twitter to tweet this message.

Shot shoot’d though, to be honest, this was not a compelling case for love.
But here’s where things got really sweet. Islanders’ fans noticed the tweet. And in their quest for a romantic ending similar to a Hallmark Christmas movie, they got behind their hometown player and told Kendrick all the reasons why she should consider saying hi back.
The following stories are Very Real.
Hey Tony, thanks for buying me that donut at Tim Hortons the other day, and then holding the door for my grandma. And then shovelling the snow in front of her so she didn’t get her feet wet. Then replacing the snow after so people nobody lost their job.

The folks at @NASA called, looks like they're gonna need you to save the world from another planet-ending asteroid again. Yeah I know, it's getting old saving the world, but face it you're our only hope!
Thanks, the entire world owes you for your sacrifice!

Thanks for running into that burning orphanage the other day to save those kids. That image of your built chest walking out of the fire holding that little girl in your arms will stick with me forever. Truly a hero.

All I know is when I needed a brain transplant, Anthony was there. And not just by himself, oh no. But with the children from the orphanage he adopted and all the kittens he saved from the pet store.

@titobeauvi21 Thank you for keeping my parents together. They have never been happier. I’ve always feared a broken home since my parents fell out of love. Since you spoke to them they are even renewing their vows. @AnnaKendrick47 don’t you ever let this one go. #luckygirl

It goes on.
Friday afternoon, Kendrick responded and praised the creative hockey fans who tweeted her.
“These replies have been my entertainment for the last two days,” Kendrick said. “Thank you all for regaling me with the true tales of this man’s heroism.”

So you’re saying there’s a chance?
This is a way better ending than Andre Burakovsky’s tweet to Alexis Ren that went unanswered two years ago.
