Anna Kendrick responds to Islanders’ Anthony Beauvillier after he shoots his shot on Twitter

Anthony Beauvillier sent out a Christmas prayer and, you guys, it has been answered.

The Islanders forward, who has 10 goals this season, tweeted a message to movie star Anna Kendrick. After receiving ridiculous support from Islanders fans, Kendrick responded.

On Wednesday, the 22-year-old Beauvillier took to Twitter to tweet this message.

Shot shoot’d though, to be honest, this was not a compelling case for love.

But here’s where things got really sweet. Islanders’ fans noticed the tweet. And in their quest for a romantic ending similar to a Hallmark Christmas movie, they got behind their hometown player and told Kendrick all the reasons why she should consider saying hi back.

The following stories are Very Real.

It goes on.

Friday afternoon, Kendrick responded and praised the creative hockey fans who tweeted her.

“These replies have been my entertainment for the last two days,” Kendrick said. “Thank you all for regaling me with the true tales of this man’s heroism.”

So you’re saying there’s a chance?

This is a way better ending than Andre Burakovsky’s tweet to Alexis Ren that went unanswered two years ago.
