A baby hugged Jakub Vrana’s face during the Capitals annual hospital visit

The Washington Capitals made their annual visit to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital on Wednesday afternoon.

The players, wearing Santa, reindeer, and elf hats, spread cheer and interacted with sick children.

One adorable connection that was made during the visit was between Jakub Vrana, an elf, and a baby. Upon seeing the hockey-playing elf, the baby extended both of its arms and demanded a hug. Vrana obliged.

Since the baby was so tiny, it had to settle for hugging Vrana’s entire face.

You guys, it’s always cute to see two babies interact.

The family took a photo with Vrana afterward.

“Always means a lot for us to get to visit with these children at the hospital in Georgetown,” Vrana wrote on Twitter.

Beyond Vrana and the baby’s adorable hug, the Capitals also spread cheer with a holiday art activity and participated in a Flashes of Hope photo shoot.

They gave out some Capitals pajamas.

They also took ridiculous photos together.

The players afterward clearly had a ball and they expressed it on their social media accounts.
