The Washington Capitals took a while to find their offense on Friday evening, but once they got started they couldn’t stop.
Capping off a fun holiday game, Dmitry Orlov completed the comeback with a dazzling move in overtime.

In three-on-three overtime, Orlov and Tom Wilson surged into the offensive zone. Orlov head-faked a pass to Wilson but pulled the trigger himself. No-looker.
Orlov on this:
"I think Vasilevskiy might have been cheating me a little on that shot and you know that is why I think he gave up a goal to me." https://t.co/lBgdzJfC0Q

Orlov’s OTGWG was the third of three unanswered goals, finishing off a thrilling come-from-behind victory. The boys were clearly amped up about the win, as they collided for a hopping group hug to celebrate.

It was also the Capitals’ fifth multi-goal comeback win of the season.

Speaking to the Capital One Arena after the game, Orlov was humble and in the spirit of the season. “Thank you for coming,” he said in his kindly Kermit-esque voice, “and I hope you like the game.”

Once in the dressing room, the player-of-the-game honors went to Orlov.
