Bummer: Jay Beagle will not play today

Here’s a disappointing development: Vancouver Canucks forward and DC fan favorite, Jay Beagle, will not play in today’s game.

Word came directly from the Canucks.

Beagle apparently suffered a lower-body injury during or since Thursday’s game in Nashville. This means yesterday’s warm welcome at Medstar Capitals Iceplex may be all Caps fans get this time around.

Huge bummer.
