“He’s day-to-day with an upper-body,” Capitals head coach Todd Reirden said after practice. “An injury we found out about yesterday so we’ll go from there. He’ll be day-to-day.”
Hagelin did not miss any shifts during Thursday’s game against the Florida Panthers, but did not participate during the Capitals’ morning skate on Friday.
Chandler Stephenson will replace Hagelin on the third line and skate on the left wing with Lars Eller and Garnet Hathaway. Nic Dowd will return to the lineup and center the fourth line.
So recap here: Hagelin has an upper body injury and is day-to-day. Stephenson slots up to the third line and Dowd is back in as 4C. https://t.co/igY5g4iPWu
