In their homecoming game on Friday night, the Washington Capitals erupted for four goals in the first period, but the most handsomest goal perhaps in franchise history did not come until the second period.
Here’s Tom Wilson from Michal Kempny. GQ city.

Wilson had possession and served the puck to Kempny, who settled it at the blue line. Kempny unleashed a slapshot, and Wilson got a deft tip on it in front of the Buffalo net.
That’s Wilson’s fifth goal of the season, and the third time he and Kempny have combined for a goal.
Tom Wilson's mouth says his between-the-legs deflection goal was lucky, but his smile says something totally different. "Yeah, I mean, some of them are a little bit lucky. I needed a little bit of luck on a goal like that. Good shot from Kemps. Post and in. I'll take it." pic.twitter.com/zNsRCzj0Ys

Wilson also had two assists on the night — giving him three points total — and this big hit in the third period. What a game for the big fella.
