NHL tweets that Captain, the Capitals puppy, won Hockey Halloween with his costumes

The Washington Capitals went the first 44 years of their existence without winning a Stanley Cup. So when they win something, no matter how small or hyperbolic, it’s a big deal, ok?

On Tuesday, I’m proud to report that the NHL announced that Captain, the Caps’ adorable and sometimes derpy-looking dog, won Hockey Halloween.

Since last Thursday, Captain has been wearing a different Halloween costume every day to count down the days to Halloween. Here are all his costumes.

Let’s review the photos. Prepare to be adorbed and feel feels you haven’t felt in a long time.

Wow. Captain’s keeper, please pick up Captain’s silver doggy bowl and take a lap around MedStar Capitals Iceplex. Y’all are Hockey Halloween Champions.
