The Washington Nationals defeated the Houston Astros 12-3 sweeping both games in Texas. Thursday they will fly home and the very next day they will participate in something historic. Washington DC will host its first World Series game since 1933.
One player who is expecting it to be loud at Nationals Park is Adam Eaton. And he wants all of you to get involved.

“Nothing but love. I’m excited,” Eaton said after Game Two. “I think it’s going to be quite ridiculous. I think the fans have been wanting this for a long time. Even if you haven’t wanted it for a long time and all of a sudden you’ve been a Nats fan for a day, I saw that guy on the internet, good for him, we want you there. The one-day fans we want you there too. But the diehards, they deserve this. And we’re excited to give our best effort when we come home.”
Adam Eaton, a huge hockey fan, hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning of Game Two and has three RBI so far in the Series.

Before the playoffs began, the outfielder revealed that the Nats drew inspiration from the Capitals and their 2018 Stanley Cup run.
“They’re inspirational. I think that’s one of the reasons why – the last two or three years – I’ve had a Caps hat in here. They show anything is possible,” Eaton said.
He added that “the way they partied afterward, I think everyone in this clubhouse would like to do as well. We’re not quite hockey players. I don’t know if we’re going to go swimming in fountains or anything but hopefully, that’ll inspire us to get there.”
The Nationals are two wins away from realizing that dream.
Congrats to the dedicated Nats fans who have waited, ummm … one day for this?!
