As the 2019-20 season started so did the road trips for many teams heading to their first away games. For Montreal goaltender Carey Price, there was an unexpected complication.
His daughter Liv decided that she wanted to come along–and promptly climbed into his suitcase. Liv’s mom, lifestyle blogger Angela Price, documented the exchange on her Instagram story.
With so many new and expectant dads on the Capitals, they may need to start shopping for some extra-large luggage too.
The conversation, according to the caption, started with Angela and Carey “explaining to Liv that dada has to go on the road.” The first sticking point was why dada was going to play “Against strangers?”
After Carey said that’s just who they go play, Liv said that she wanted to go. “You want to come?” Price asked. “There’s room in there.” After her enthusiastic “Yep!” Price carefully helped her climb inside.
Three-year-old Liv is a life-long Habs fan who “loves to watch dada hockey.”
The Canadiens’ season opener is Thursday night against the Carolina Hurricanes. Maybe little Liv will be backing up Carey in net–or chilling in his equipment bag.
