The Washington Capitals hit the ice Friday for their first public session of Training Camp on Friday.
“We back,” the Caps said on Twitter.
Along with the self-aware message, the team posted a new montage video in the same vein of the team’s Stanley Cup series in 2018.
Video
The video includes video of the city, the players working out, and scenes of fans going to the game. It builds spectacularly until it reintroduces the team’s stars with marks of their nicknames: The Great 8, Backy, and Holtbeast.
Here’s how Caps Twitter responded to it.
