The Washington Capitals are no longer the masters of the universe. Consequently, you as an RMNB reader no longer deserve the delight that is two straight weeks of everyone’s favorite summer series, Not Up For Debate. Instead, and as punishment for the failure, here is one full week of Not Up For Debate. Presenting the most popular series ever on RMNB, in which we will finally understand the true nature of the 2018-19 Washington Capitals through the prism of stupid popular culture. It’s called Not Up For Debate because everyone agrees that these are the universal consensus picks.
In today’s installment, what if the 18-19 Caps lived in Westeros about 300 years after Aegon’s Conquest?
Nicklas Backstrom, Jaime Lannister
He is better than you, and he knows it.
Travis Boyd, Garlan Tyrell
Handsome and gallant, but doesn’t do all that much… yet.
Andre Burakovsky, Melisandre
An inscrutable foreigner who means well but gets things super wrong.
John Carlson, Catelyn Stark
Unfairly maligned even if, sure, she did make a couple mistakes here and there.
Brett Connolly, Bronn
He rich now.
Pheonix Copley, Randyll Tarly
Christian Djoos, Bran Stark
Young, hindered, but immensely powerful.
Nic Dowd, Davos Seaworth
Experienced, uncynical.
Lars Eller, Sansa
Abandoned by the people closest to her, but strong beyond words.
Carl Hagelin, Salladhor Saan
A swashbuckler who is always in exile.
Braden Holtby, Grey Worm
Asked to do too much dirty work.
Dmitrij Jaskin, Theon Greyjoy
Not a bad guy, just made a couple bad choices. Everyone deserves a second chance.
Nick Jensen, Gendry
Well, he sure came out of nowhere.
Michal Kempny, Jory Cassel
Slain too early.
Evgeny Kuznetsov, Jaqen H’ghar
Who arrrreee you.
Matt Niskanen, Wun Weg Wun Dar Wun
Slow but sweet. Last of a dying breed.
Dmitry Orlov, Alleras, the Sphinx

So misunderstood.
Brooks Orpik, Barristan Selmy
Kinda speaks for itself.
T.J. Oshie, Robb Stark
He does well, but he kinda gets his ass kicked.
Alex Ovechkin, Rhaegar Targaryen
He knew he had to change his ways to achieve his destiny, so he just up and did it.
Jonas Siegenthaler, Lem Lemoncloak
He is capable of great and terrible things, we shall see.
Devante Smith-Pelly, Loras Tyrell
Got all the glory at the big battle.
Chandler Stephenson, Aegon Targaryan VI

Seems legit.
Jakub Vrana, Vargo Hoat
Just because I like how he talks.
Tom Wilson, Lyanna Mormont
The toughest.
Though the series is called Not Up For Debate, I’m leaving the comments open. So you can compliment me. For the very good picks. Appreciate the congrats.
