Jenner Jensen, Nick’s wife, first tipped off Caps fans by posting a video on her Instagram Story of her husband at the Iceplex greeting donors.

“I was on my way out and someone from Inova said, ‘Hey, there’s no line if you want Nick to sign your bobblehead,'” reader Heather Coburn said in a message. “He was very nice, but doesn’t think his hair is as red as the bobblehead’s. His wife took the photo and got several angles for best light. They were both lovely.”

Heather shared these two photos with us.

“They do take walk-ins today so encourage people to come by,” she said.

During his time at the rink, Jensen also donated blood himself.

Jenner took to Instagram to thank everyone who donated blood.

“It was so incredible seeing hundreds of amazing fans donate blood today,” she wrote. “Thanks to the donors for their willingness to help those in need ❤️ Big shout out to @inovablood for putting on another great event and for letting nick and I come hang out!”

The Capitals acquired the top-four defenseman from the Detroit Red Wings for Madison Bowey at the trade deadline. Jensen immediately signed a four-year contract extension hours later keeping him in DC through 2024.
