Two years after being dealt by Washington, Zach Sanford became a Stanley Cup champion with the St. Louis Blues as a 24-year-old.
Sanford scored the Blues’ fourth goal in Game Seven of the Stanley Cup Final, but Monday he went viral for a less champion-y moment.
The former Capitals forward vomited on himself during the Blues Stanley Cup Parade.
Yes, there’s video thanks to Deadspin.
There’s no amount of detergent that’s going to make those jeans smell good again.
Sanford did an interview with Fox Sports Midwest during the parade. He wore yellow sunglasses and giggled.
“Uhhhhh, it’s pretty damn cool,” Sanford said of being a Stanley Cup champion. “It’s awesome. It’s so sick how many people came out. I don’t think I’m a Bruins fan anymore.”
Later, after asking what it was like to be in the parade, Sanford replied, “I don’t know what to say.”

If last year was the Summer of Ovi, this year is the Summer of Sanford. Just make sure to bring some extra pants and a couple of bath towels.
