The start of summer may not be until June 21, but Capitals prospect Axel Jonsson-Fjallby has officially declared today a pool day.
Jonsson-Fjallby, who is currently vacationing on the Greek island of Santorini, posted a photo to his Instagram Monday afternoon sitting poolside with his signature man-bun.
Jonsson-Fjallby captioned the photo in Swedish “Låt mig va!” which translates to “Let me be!.” If I were captioning it, I would take notes from Tom Wilson and just write “pool day.”
The photo has generated comments from AJF’s followers in Swedish, but a vast majority of the responses come in a universal language we can all understand: the 🔥 emoji.
Here is a sampling:
Jonsson-Fjallby finished the 2018-19 season with a short stint with the Hershey Bears after leaving the squad in early November to return to his SHL team, Djurgardens IF. Fjällby had a bit of a rough regular season, but lit up the playoffs before his team lost in the SHL finals. AJF is expected to play the full season in North America next year.
The Swedish prospect joins many other Capitals players vacationing currently including Alex Ovechkin, Jakub Vrana, Dmitry Orlov, and Lars Eller.
