Sunday, Ovechkin assisted on goals by Kirill Kaprizov, Dmitry Orlov, and Evgeny Kuznetsov respectively.

The Russian team defeated the Czech team in the final match of the Czech stage of the Euro Hockey Tour, giving Russia the Euro Hockey Tour championship for the 2018-19 season.
