It makes sense that an article about Nathan MacKinnon would include quotes from Sidney Crosby, a friend, peer, and training partner. In a recent article about MacKinnon for the Athletic, Pierre LeBrun got comments from Crosby via email.
Crosby’s comments were thorough, insightful, and–as Hailey Salvian of the Athletic pointed out on Twitter–accidentally(?) hilarious.
Who needs joyful emojis, laughin’ out loud acronyms, or excessively emotional displays when one can simply write out: haha?

Can we all just take in that Sidney Crosby actually typed out haha, in an email to @PierreVLeBrun for his story about Nathan MacKinnon????https://t.co/l9d18munJ2 pic.twitter.com/Aml1PkIoED

This style of self-expression is nothing new to Crosby. In a 2013 “Cabbie Presents” featuring Crosby talking about “regular dude stuff,” Cabbie asked Crosby a very important question: Are you an ‘LOL’ guy? Or a ‘hahaha’ guy?
Crosby, who had just gotten a new iPhone, appears to have won the battle against autocorrect’s attempt to make him say “hahahahaha.”
He’s a haha man.
