Here’s Nick Jensen bleeding profusely from the face

NHL officials have swallowed their whistle midway through Game Seven. Brooks Orpik got horse-collared to the ice and there was no call. Late in the second period, Nick Jensen was high-sticked in the face by Warren Foegele.

Jensen was captured on the bench bleeding from the face like he got in a samurai sword fight – a clear four-minute double minor for high-sticking. Nothing was called.

Nick Jensen. Hockey guy.

The high stick occurred deep in the Capitals defensive zone as Washington cleared the zone.

Jensen would leave the ice early for the second intermission to get tended to by trainers but came back for the start of the third period.

What a warrior.
