A wise man once said “without loss you cannot win.”
And wouldn’t you know it, that freaking wise man, Alex Ovechkin, scored in a pivotal Game Four between the Capitals and Hurricanes.
The power-play goal tied the game briefly before the Hurricanes took a 2-1 lead into the second intermission.
Ovechkin scored while on the ice with the Capitals second power-play unit.
Dmitry Orlov faked a shot and then sent a perfect pass into Ovechkin’s wheelhouse. Petr Mrazek stuttered on Orlov’s wind up, giving Ovechkin a wide open net.
Ovechkin punched the boards in his feisty goal celly.
The goal marked Ovechkin’s second goal of the series.
