Madison Bowey wasn’t known for laying the lumber in Washington, but Sunday against the Boston Bruins, the Detroit Red Wings’ newest defenseman kabonged Brad Marchand with the hit of the night.
Marchand, who scored his 35th goal of the season in the second period, was tattooed by Bowey at the blue line after making a pass to the wing.

Since arriving in Detroit, Bowey has had a major role with the team, receiving 20 minutes of ice time in five of his last seven games. That includes a career-high 24:29 against the Vegas Golden Knights. He has four points (1g, 3a) in 14 games with the Red Wings.
