Alex Ovechkin becomes the fourth player in NHL history with ten 40-goal seasons

Just 59 games into the season, Ovechkin has hit the 40-goal mark again. It’s the 10th time he’s gotten here, joining the company of just three other NHL players: Wayne Gretzky, who did 12 times; and Marcel Dionne and Mario Lemieux, who did it 10 seasons.

Ovechkin has a four-goal lead on Buffalo’s Jeff Skinner in the Rocket Richard race.
