Capitals players raise money for Make-A-Wish at annual ‘Wish Upon A Par’ event

Three years ago, Erin Orpik helped created Wish Upon A Par, a charity event at TopGolf that allowed fans to drive golf balls with their favorite Capitals stars. The event has helped raise tens of thousands of dollars for Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic.

Sunday, despite a winter storm that dropped four-plus inches of snow on the Washington DC area, the third annual event went on as planned and the Capitals descended upon Ashburn, Virginia.

One player even showed off his favorite dance move (again).

Wish Kid Brock and the Ludwigson family documented the day. Brock played Jenga with Tom Wilson, hung out with TJ Oshie, and flossed with Jakub Vrana.

Dang, Brock. I declare you the winner!

The players who raised the most for charity were TJ Oshie ($10k), Tom Wilson ($3.35k), and Nicklas Backstrom ($3k). Fans who bid that much got to spend the day golfing with their favorite Caps.

On his Instagram Story, avid golfer Andre Burakovsky showed a lay of the land. That’s a lot of snow.

Other fans shared their photos on Instagram.

Did you attend the event? Have a good time? Let us know in the comments!
