After a tenacious forecheck by the first line, Kuznetsov forced a turnover in front and then, in the former barn of Pavel Datsyuk, worked conjured some of his #KuzyMagic.
If that happened too quick, no worries – the replay behind the goal tells the story. After lifting the stick of Jonathan Ericsson, Kuzy pivots and finds Wilson wide open on the right wing.
Wilson beat Red Wings goaltender Jimmy Howard with a wrist shot to score. The Big BroBeaner now has points in 14 of 22 games. He’s already two goals away from his career high (14) and 15 points away from tying his career high set last season.
Meanwhile, the primary assist was Kuznetsov’s 300th career point.
