Jakub Vrana scores a beautiful goal after a pass from a falling-down John Carlson

Early in the Monday morning game against the Nashville Predators, Jakub Vrana scored a beauty and celebrated with style.

Evgeny Kuznetsov went after the puck along the boards and chipped it back to John Carlson. After puckhandling around the defending Predators, Carlson passed the puck, while falling over, to the stick of young Vrana.

Vrana tucked the puck past Pekka Rinne’s pads, bringing the Capitals on 2-0 after an earlier Michal Kempny tally.

“I saw [Carlson] did a great move,” Vrana said during the intermission. “I was just to try to get open. I called for it too. Johnny’s a good player, he saw me, give me the puck, so credit to him.”

It’s not “passing,” it’s “falling with style.”

This is Vrana’s 12th of the season. He scored 13 total last season.
