What even is this noise Braden Holtby is making

Over the last four seasons, Braden Holtby has been a workhorse, playing in over 72 percent of the Capitals’ games. But Tuesday, the Holtbeast rode the pine, sitting in favor of Pheonix Copley.

I can confidently report, however, that Holtby was okay with this.

In a pregame video posted by the Capitals, a happy Holtby can be seen walking out to the bench with his teammates. And then he makes this noise.

Watch it on Instagram where it will loop forever.

“I had an extremely awful day but it’s completely rectified by this video,” @icefeathxr commented. Same here.

This is the most random and wonder noise I’ve heard from a Caps player since Alex Ovechkin emitted this sound at a camera in April 2015.

Meanwhile, Pheonix Copley was all good in net, stopping every shot he faced for a 42-save shutout.
