Joel Ward got married over the weekend and invited Troy Brouwer to his wedding

Former Capital Joel Ward is now a married man after a beautiful ceremony in Napa, California on Sunday afternoon.

No current Capitals were in attendance, but Ward did invite former teammate Troy Brouwer.

Ward and his wife Kitt wore matching sneakers to their reception after proposing with a pair of Air Jordans. And that wasn’t all. The couple made everyone wear a pair of trainers to their wedding.

The reception was held at the Silverado Resort and Spa in Napa proper.

Brouwer, who was Ward’s teammate for three years, has the leg-pop pose down.

Ward also invited a few of his former Sharks teammates, including Logan Couture, Barclay Goodrow, and Chris Tierney.

The couple’s first dance was to Al Green’s Let’s Stay Together.

The couple look extremely happy together.

And it’s official! #thewards2018
